I have a confession to make- I have three very important men in my life, and I am cheating on all of them with the others… When I am out with Christian having a salsa lesson in my Miss Boxe wedges, Manolo has no idea that he and I will share a romantic lunch mere hours later in my coral patent round-toe Mary Janes. And Jimmy certainly has no idea there is anyone else when we meet for late sushi and sake in my leopard print calf-hair kitten heels. And I'd like to keep it that way. These men are all, in their own different, special way, the most important and beautiful aspect of my day.  And today Girls, they will be the most special part of yours too…

I think it's time we had a little talk about the importance of shoes in today's world. There are many things in life that I feel are more expensive than they should be, but perhaps none more than quality shoes. In the last 10 years, I have seen the price of my favorite designers' rocket from $250 per pair to $650 per pair- with no appreciable difference in the construction or quality of that shoe… Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Manolo Blahnik offer the highest style available, and in my humble opinion, they are the masters of their craft. I can be wearing a no-name sleeveless linen shift, and when I slip on my nude LB's- I feel like paparazzi may start chasing me around corners! Seriously, they elevate the most humble of outfits into what my Mother calls "effortless chic". And whatever other style mantras you may subscribe to (and they will change as you get older), the one truism that stands the test of time is that the world will judge you based on your shoes!

So Hurry, Hurry, Hurry- Dreams like this don't last long- And when they're over, they're gone!
