Hi Girls! In light of the success of some of the wine bars I’ve recently featured Coups for, I’ve decided to share some of my very favorite spots to sit back, relax, and enjoy a bold and flavorful glass or two…
To me, there’s nothing better than finding that perfect place to unwind at the end of a busy day. That’s why I love scouting out quaint little wine bars everywhere I go! Each one featured today has an intimate, personable feel and a great selection of wines I think all my Girls will appreciate, so read on and see which picks look good for YOUR city!
Atlanta
Perrine’s Wine Shop- Featured in Food and Wine Magazine as one of the best new places to buy French wine, Perrine’s is a boutique wine shop with a French Provincial-inspired concept. The shop’s owner, Perrine, offers custom recipes and personalized cards so you can throw the perfect wine pairing party at home!
Red Sky Tapas & Bar- The tapas here are AMAZING (hello Lobster Mac and Cheese, Buffalo Calamari, and Blue Cheese Stuffed Spanish Olives to name a few…) but remember to save room for dessert, namely their Good & Evil, which combines dark and white chocolate mousse atop an Oreo crumb crust! Reservations are a must if you want to get there with enough time to order a glass of wine before the Dueling Pianos begin to play!

BRIX Wine Shop- This delightful little wine shop can be found in two locations around Boston (one in the South End and the other in the Financial District). Both are stocked with wines that suit every budget and also have FREE wine tastings every week, where you girls can come in, mingle, enjoy complimentary apps, and sip all sorts of wine out of crystal stemware (ah…divine)!
Les Zygomates- The name translates to “the muscles in the face that make you smile” and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing as soon as you walk in! Take a seat at the bar and try their Assiette de Fromage (a yummy selection of cheeses) or indulge in a sit-down dinner and split a bottle of their finest Cabernet with your sweetheart. Every Tuesday through Saturday they have live jazz music!
Fort Lauderdale
Seventh Street Wine Company- This hidden shop located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale offers something unlike any wine tasting you girls have experienced! Inside are several stations set up with wines of every type and price point. By simply swiping a card you purchase upon arrival, you can try as many different wine samples as you like (go from White to Red to Port, then back to Rosé- the options are virtually endless). There are snacks and appetizers available, but the star of Seventh Street is definitely the wine!
Hollywood Vine- With over 600 wines from all over the world, you’ll be hard pressed to find something that’s doesn’t suit your fancy at Hollywood Vine! The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for their weekly Tuesday wine tastings, but if you simply don’t feel like going out, that’s okay too- they deliver!

Kork Wine & Cheese- Kork will transport you girls straight to the 16th century in France from the moment you step through their intricate iron doors. The interior is cozy and warm with wood paneled walls, hardwood floors, and granite counter tops, and it boasts an underground wine cellar that used to be a bomb shelter back during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Every Tuesday through Friday from 5-8PM, Kork has a $5 Happy Hour with staff selected Red and White wine and a selection of cheese appetizers, so be sure to stop in after work!
Wine Vault- Located in the shops at Midtown, Wine Vault is a seductive two-story lounge complete with a sleek glass elevator, DJ Booth, and outside courtyard. Their menu of tapas ranges anywhere from small nibbles (marinated olives, sweet cashews, or Parmesan chunks) to cured meats and cheese platters and everything in between, which is of course accompanied by wines straight from the vault!

Taste- Taste is Sand Castle Winery’s Gourmet Experience and a unique concept for Pennsylvania’s wine stores! Both their Pheonixville and Warrington locations offer distinctive wines from Sand Castle Winery, a majestic hillside castle and vineyard overlooking the Delaware River in historic Bucks County. In addition to their wines, Taste also carries the freshest selection of Extra Virgin Olive Oils in the US, with more than thirty kinds of olive oils and balsamic vinegars that you can try, from artisans and small batch producers all over the world.
Vintage Wine Bar- Tall windows, exposed brick walls, and a chandelier made entirely of wine bottles make this charming wine bar one of my favorite places to enjoy a glass (and I haven’t even mentioned the food yet)! Vintage’s menu consists of heartwarming favorites made from only the freshest local ingredients. Their main focus is on their wine and the food that it compliments (I love the Baked Brie paired with Riesling), and they are constantly changing their wine and beer specials, so you can continue to try new kinds at great prices!
There you have it, Girls- my top picks for wining and dining in each city. Check them out whenever you’re in the neighborhood and remember to tell them Tessa sent you!
